Ahh, the pointy toe. Such a love/hate relationship we have together. I remember when pointy toe shoes were all the rage when I was in college. I had them in every color and style- black, white, patent, leather, snakeskin, faux snakeskin---you name it, I had it!
And so did everyone else.
There we were on Thirsty Thursdays at the local bar teetering around in our pointy toe stilettos trying to look cool. And most importantly, trying not to topple over in those painful skyscrapers.
Then, came the wave of new trends--platforms (I LOVE), round toes, peep-toes, and other less narrow and painful shoe designs.
While I still would prefer my comfortable platforms over the toe crowding pointy toe, it seems to be making a comeback and has been seen on such celebs as Kate Bosworth, Rihanna, and Cassie.
My advice: DO if you dare but DON'T go for the cheapies. Cheap shoes equal pain ladies and no Dr. Scholl's gel insert will help you! Trust! Sometimes investing in a good shoe is better than giving into a fleeting fad.
