Ashy Feet and Cracked Heels are NOT CUTE...!!!

On my way to breakfast this morning, in front of me stood someone's cracked heels. On my mini-vacation to an amusement park this weekend, I saw several of these cracked heels. Picking up a forbidden late snack at 7-11 on Friday, I saw THEE whitest feet on earth. And this was on a dark-skinned man!!!
Poor foot care has gotta be one of my BIGGEST pet peeves! There is absolutely no reason why your feet should ever look like a pair of powdered donuts! No one should ever see dead flaky skin on the back of your heels!! I don't care how much your shoes cost, if your feet look terrible...IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Disclaimer: This post may offend some of you. This post is quite long.

Your feet are as important to your fashion life as the clothes you wear and the shoes on your feet. Not taking care of your feet (and hands) is a sure fire way to tell how lazy a person is. How easy is it to throw some lotion on those dry feet and hands? I always keep both of these looking right! I get pedicures every 2 weeks just about and I make sure to keep both my hands and feet soft by using lotion and other tools as needed!

Now, I'm not saying you absolutely have to go get pedicures all the time or even at all! You can very well take care of your feet in your own bathroom. AND THIS GOES FOR THE MEN AS WELL!! If you have the audacity to step out in any kind of open toe shoe, you better have your feet in good condition. I don't care if you are in your "church sandals," your "after-workout flip flops" or your "house shoes"....you better keep it together!

Below are some steps you can take to ensure you feet stay in tip top condition!

1. CLIP THOSE TOENAILS! Length is personal preference---but you shouldn't be scratching up your significant other or yourself in bed. If your toenails are getting caught in the inside of your sock, chances are they're too long!

2. THE PUMICE STONE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND! Wet it and use to get rid of that dry flaky skin that can be found and SEEN on the heels and sides of feet. If you have dry skin elsewhere on the feet, USE IT there too! You can find this tool anywhere like your local Walgreens, CVS, WalMart, Target, ect.

3. THE NAIL BUFFER is used to smooth any roughness or ridges on the surface of the nails.

4. LOTION IS YOUR LOVER!! Do NOT use in moderation!!! If you have super ashy and dry feet, use as much as you need to! I recommend Shea it Ain't So foot lotion by True Blue Spa. Which can be purchased at your local Bath and Body Works store and online. You can also try heavy formula cream-based products such as Eucerin Original Moisturizing Creme or Curel's Deep Penetrating Foot Cream.

5. THE "EXTRANESS" IS SOLELY UP TO YOU! If you want au natural nails a la no nailpolish, you're done. If you do, of course, go ahead and get the nail polish, the cotton balls, nail polish remover out and go to town!

This has been a public fashion announcment by Key. Please carry on with your day! :-)
